About

Todd C. Knudson, MD, MPH, is a board-certified psychiatrist and occupational medicine physician with nearly 20 years of experience in clinical practice, public health, and medical leadership. He currently serves as a Principal Investigator at Bio Behavioral Health, where he oversees Phase II and III clinical trials in major depressive disorder, treatment-resistant depression, generalized anxiety disorder, bipolar depression, Alzheimer's disease-related psychosis and agitation, and other neuropsychiatric conditions. Throughout his career, Dr. Knudson has combined clinical excellence with a strong commitment to advancing psychiatric research, with expertise in psychopharmacology, telepsychiatry, addiction medicine, geriatric psychiatry, and psychosomatic medicine. Prior to his medical career, he served as an epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), contributing to critical public health initiatives and research efforts.

Dr. Knudson earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Emory University. He completed internship training at Tripler Army Medical Center, followed by residency training in Occupational Medicine at the Naval Aerospace Medicine Institute and Psychiatry at Tripler Army Medical Center. In addition to his clinical research activities, he has held leadership positions within the U.S. Army and Veterans Health Administration, providing psychiatric care in both civilian and military settings, including extensive telepsychiatry services for veterans and deployed service members around the world. He maintains additional certifications in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and remains dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with complex psychiatric disorders.
