Dr. Alex Gonzales

Dr. Alex Gonzalez is a board-certified endocrinologist, diabetes, and metabolism specialist with extensive experience in both clinical practice and clinical research. As a Principal Investigator at Latin Clinical Trial Center since 2019, he has led Phase II and III clinical trials in diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and lipid disorders, contributing to the development of innovative therapies for complex metabolic conditions. He is recognized for his commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and advancing treatment options through high-quality clinical research.

Dr. Gonzalez earned his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, and pursued fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at San Juan City Hospital. He currently serves as Associate Program Director of the Endocrinology Training Program at San Juan City Hospital and is President of AG Thyroid & Endocrine Clinic, where he combines clinical excellence with academic and research leadership.
