Ashley B. Cauthen, MD

Dr. Ashley Cauthen is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in clinical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, and a nationally recognized clinical investigator in the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases. As founder of MidState Skin Institute in Ocala, Florida, Dr. Cauthen leads a high-volume clinical practice while also contributing to dermatologic research at Renstar Medical Research, whom she has been working with since 2014. She has served as Principal Investigator on over 25 studies and as Sub-Investigator on more than 30 additional trials evaluating cutting-edge treatments for plaque psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, atopic dermatitis, and skin cancer. Dr. Cauthen is a member of multiple professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
